We spent Thanksgiving in Phoenix with Jeff's Mom Cynde and her husband Bruce. We drove there in our new CNG Honda Civic. It was a bit worrisome that we might not make it the last leg of the journey from Indio, CA to Phoenix, AZ (thus stranding ourselves with kids in the desert), but we made it with natural gas to spare. We had a wonderful time and the kids loved spending time with their Grandparents. On one of our days, we went to the Botanical Gardens where there was a Chihuly exhibit going on. It was fun to stroll around looking at desert foliage with glass installations crafted in rainy Seattle. Since my mom and her family are from Seattle, we've seen plenty of Chihuly glass, but this was pretty cool. Here are a couple pictures from the gardens.
