December Happenings

December was really a nice month.  Aside from visiting Yosemite, we did a lot of stuff.  We visited the Cal Academy of Sciences, spent a morning doing art at a local studio, saw the Christmas lights at the Zoo, and decorated the best tree we've ever had (a big noble fir).  Sylvie also had her first dentist appointment this month.  She LOVED her visit to the pediatric dentist.  She had no cavities.  They made a big deal over her.  Finally, they also gave her a kit of dentist tools (mask, gloves, mirror and toothbrush) for playing dentist at home.  She couldn't wait to get home and check out everyone's teeth.

Here are some notable pictures from the month:

Rex creating master works at the children's art studio in Oakland.

Rex riding the carousel at the Zoo.

Mr. Rex

Most kids are scared of the vacuum, but not Rex.  Rex always insists on operating the vacuum by himself.

Sylvie, the family dentist, checking out her Dad's teeth.

Okay -- if this were a competition (and it's not), I'd have a HECK of a time trying to decide between 1) Rex vacuuming, and 2) Sylvie the dentist. I am dying, because both are so freaking cute!!! Love, Nan
