Post-Holiday Blog

Picture = Sylvie and her pal Molly in their Christmas Princess Nightgowns.

The holidays were both wonderful and horrible all at the same time. They were horrible in that I had to do a lot of work in order to prepare for a motion hearing on January 3rd. Unfortunately, it's been crazy busy at work. Of course, the holidays were wonderful, because I got to spend a lot of time with my family and friends. We had two fun dinners with our nanny's family, the De Amaya's, and a wonderful couple of days and New Year's Eve with my Mom, Stepdad and close friends Nancy and Mark McClelland. It doesn't get much better than that.

Sylvie really enjoyed Christmas. She was more into the trappings of Xmas than the presents. The decorated tree was a constant source of wonder to her. She also very much enjoyed opening her stocking which was full of small toys and treats. We tried to keep the amount of total gifts to a pretty small amount, since she basically gets presents all of the time. We did have to make room for the new toys, so a bag of toys and stuff went to Goodwill this week. Sylvie understands that there are some kids who have no toys and she says that they can have some of hers.

Rex (or as we like to call him, Rexie-Poo) is getting really big and interactive now that he is turning 7 months. He's cracking up whenever his sister is playing with him, army crawling all over the place and exploring all of the things and toys in the house. He loves this big wood tower of different doors. He lies on his tummy and opens and closes the doors.

Jeff and I are still busy, but my resolution is that we'll somehow try to have fun with our crazy life along the way.
