We actually managed to have a nice Halloween. Kids and I carved pumpkins a couple days before. We attended the annual "Boo at the Zoo" day at the fabulous Oakland Zoo. The kids also had a Day of the Dead fiesta followed by a costume party for the "Parents Night Out" at the preschool. Then, Jeff came back from a conference in SoCal and, despite our turmoil, we spent the day with the kids going to the Bellavista neighborhood party and a party held here in our own courtyard (masterfully planned by Anna and our neighbor Michelle). I'm proud of us that we were able to give the kids a nice day - they deserve it. The kids were wild with excitement to wear their costumes and hang out with both their parents. Sylvie and I were witches, though Sylvie was a very princessy witch. Rex wore his dragon costume, which got lots of rave reviews. He walked around for most of the time with his "claws" up. Jeff was an evil tree. Here are some Halloween photos. By the way, it's confirmed that there is a fingerprint on the lens; sorry for the blurry photos.

Oh no, you don't! I saw a dragon, a princessy witch, and an evil tree, but where are the photos of you in your costume? This is not fair. I'm going on strike until I see a Jolie-in-costume photo.
These photos made me laugh. How cute is your family, I ask you?!!! The last one with Sylvie is a real keeper.
The kids look adorable! And yay to Sylvie being something other than a princess (afraid we weren't able to escape the lure of Disney). Glad you had a fun time.
